I think I've achieved this, and figured I'd share it with you lot, as I wasn't able to find a diagram/instructions for this arrangement on this site. Unlike most other guitar wiring the output wires from the pickups connect to the middle lugs of the volume pots letting you turn the volume of one pickup down without affecting the other. Series wiring puts your pickup's outputs into your other pickups.
